Job Description
Remote patient registration specialist coordinating referrals, payments, documentation, and onboarding for Option Care Health, the nation’s largest home infusion provider.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with patients, referral sources, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery.
- Create, communicate, and obtain all required documentation for new referrals.
- Secure patients’ upfront payment, including helping patients find payment avenues and directing them to financial assistance programs.
- Support ongoing activities to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management, including following up on missing paperwork.
- Assist the Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.
- Facilitate new patients’ transition to Option Care Health services and deliver a consistent onboarding experience.
- Work with Sales to prepare patients for Option Care Health services and facilitate their transition to home/AIS.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in related experience required.
- Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time.
- Ability to work in a fast past environment.
- Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus.
- High degree of customer service skills required.
- Ability to trouble shoot, problem solves and collaborate with cross-functional team members across sales and operation functions.
- Previous healthcare/medical billing experience preferred.
- Must be available to work Tuesday through Saturday.
