Job Description

People Support Specialist supporting HR, payroll, data and compliance operations at One New Zealand, a telecommunications company. Improving employee experience through accurate, customer-focused People services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely, accurate and customer-focused support across HR, payroll, travel and people-related queries.
  • Support key HR processes and operational activities from start to finish.
  • Maintain accurate HR information and high-quality, up-to-date people data in HR systems.
  • Support reporting, data uploads and compliance activities.
  • Identify issues and help drive them through to resolution.
  • Find opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency and enhance employee support.
  • Collaborate across the People team and wider business to deliver consistent, customer-focused service.

Requirements:

  • Experience in HR or People administration, ideally within a fast-paced or shared services environment.
  • Experience using SAP SuccessFactors would be an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation, HR policies and people processes.
  • Previous payroll experience or a good understanding of New Zealand payroll processes and relevant legislation is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with employee information, systems and data.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and stay organised while delivering quality work within agreed timeframes.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach, with ability to identify issues, problem-solve and recommend practical improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to provide clear, helpful and customer-focused support.
  • Genuine customer and people-first mindset, with commitment to delivering a great employee experience.
