Job Description

Personal Cruise Consultant selling Norwegian Cruise Line vacations directly to consumers. Managing leads, recommending cruise products, and closing sales while meeting customer retention and revenue goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote sales to direct consumers by initiating calls, acting on leads and prospects, identifying travel needs, presenting Norwegian Cruise Line products, and making travel recommendations
  • Establish and maintain quality customer relationships through exceptional customer service, rapport-building, identifying and meeting customer needs, retention efforts, and follow-up
  • Close sales and meet or exceed revenue goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing consumers
  • Maintain consumer prospect lists and contact databases to identify client travel trends
  • Proactively promote and sell Norwegian Cruise Line products based on client travel history
  • Develop in-depth industry and company knowledge to explain cruise product features, benefits, pricing, promotions, itineraries, stateroom upgrades, onboard credits, and other shipboard amenities
  • Attend and actively participate in daily team meetings and relevant sales training
  • Participate in department-approved mass email campaigns targeting specific guest profiles
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum one year of sales experience
  • Two years of sales experience preferred
  • Cruise sales experience is a plus
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for communicating with direct guests by telephone and internally
  • Strong working knowledge of Norwegian Cruise Line products, including the current fleet and ship itineraries
  • Ability to multitask and work in a high-energy, goal- and quota-driven sales environment
  • Adherence to a strictly enforced dress code
