Job Description
Pharmacy Technician processing prescriptions and patient medication profiles for Dragonfly Health’s hospice pharmacy operations. Handling high-volume calls, service inquiries, and confidential clinical information remotely in Tennessee.
Responsibilities:
- Process new prescriptions, refills, and discontinuations with a high level of accuracy
- Maintain complete and compliant patient medication profiles
- Respond to high-volume inbound calls from hospice partners, prescribers, and clinical staff
- Triage and resolve routine service inquiries, escalating complex issues appropriately
- Deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication and active listening
- Apply de-escalation techniques when supporting urgent or emotionally sensitive situations
- Meet service level, quality, productivity, and documentation standards
- Utilize pharmacy systems and internal tools to manage workflows and document activity
- Identify service issues and partner with operations leadership on resolution
- Participate in training, system updates, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support hospice pharmacy operations by ensuring accuracy, continuity, and responsiveness
- Partner with pharmacists and peers to support patient safety, service quality, and the overall care experience
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent pharmacy technician experience
- High school or better
- Required CPhT or EXCPT Pharmacy Technician certification
- Experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a healthcare setting
- Detail-oriented approach with strong accuracy and compliance focus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a calm, empathetic approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, call-driven environment
- Experience working with pharmacy systems, patient records, or workflow platforms
- Customer-focused mindset with efficient problem-solving ability
- Ability to handle sensitive patient and clinical information confidentially
- Adaptability to changing processes, systems, and priorities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation standards
- Collaborative ability to partner effectively with pharmacists and peers
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Clear and effective verbal communication
