Job Description
Platform Engineer automating internal SaaS systems for Zyte, a web-data extraction company. Building APIs, cloud infrastructure, security workflows, and AI-powered IT operations for a global remote workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and operate the internal technology ecosystem powering Zyte’s global company.
- Administer and integrate business-critical SaaS systems including Salesforce, HubSpot, customer support, billing, collaboration, and engineering tools.
- Design reliable workflows and data synchronization across multiple SaaS platforms.
- Write automation scripts and build scripts, services, integrations, CLI tools, event-driven pipelines, bots, and ChatOps integrations.
- Implement API-driven integrations for CRM, customer, billing, product usage, entitlement, support, product, and CRM workflows.
- Develop internal tools for IT, operations, onboarding, access management, data synchronization, dashboards, and collaboration platforms.
- Identify and implement AI-assisted and AI-driven workflows, including internal support assistants, knowledge retrieval, ticket triage, copilots, and operational data analysis.
- Design automated employee onboarding, offboarding, identity and access provisioning, self-service IT workflows, and internal APIs.
- Provide ultimate-level IT support to a global remote workforce with root-cause analysis and a person-first service approach.
- Maintain endpoint security, password management, access audits, Zero Trust practices, and adherence to ISO frameworks.
Requirements:
- 8+ years in IT Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Systems Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
- 3+ years in a senior role owning internal business systems and automation at a SaaS/tech company.
- Strong scripting and programming ability in Python, Go, Bash, and Node.js.
- Solid experience operating GCP and AWS environments, including VPCs, IAM roles, EC2, and S3.
- Strong experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, OAuth authentication flows, webhook-based event systems, SaaS SDKs, and integration frameworks.
- Deep working knowledge of macOS and Linux environments.
- Experience implementing and managing SSO, SAML, SCIM provisioning, identity lifecycle automation, and Zero Trust access models.
- Experience supporting or passing ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR security and compliance audits.
- Experience in remote-first or globally distributed environments strongly preferred.
- Preferred: AI-assisted automation experience with LLM APIs, AI copilots, semantic search, knowledge retrieval, and automated AI support or ticket triage.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Preferred: Experience applying SLIs/SLOs to internal IT services.
