Job Description

QC Supervisor leading a team responsible for quality control in the mortgage industry. Overseeing audits and management of pipelines in Retail and Correspondent Lending.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Quality Control Employees responsible for various quality control functions (Correspondent Delegated Post-Purchase, Retail Lending and Non-Delegated pre and post funding, repurchase administration, investor and Agency due diligence, etc.)
  • Manage pipeline and pre-funding audit workflow for the Retail Lending and Correspondent Lending Non-Delegated Channels
  • Communicate results and provide feedback on pre-funding audits to Channels, resolve rebuttals on findings, assist in developing action plans, and monitor completion of action plans
  • Active leadership of the team to ensure optimal quality and productivity
  • Managing pipeline, workflow, SLAs and prioritization of duties
  • Identify opportunities and facilitate improvements to process and systems
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Agency and Regulatory requirements
  • Provide support and guidance to the QC Staff
  • Perform pre-funding audit reviews as necessary
  • Perform back up functions for the Post-Funding QC Team
  • Partner with counterparts in Operations to help remediate quality issues
  • Responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of related experience in Mortgage Industry or similar field
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Previous leadership experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending; including sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices
  • Advanced ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of mortgage lending operations and industry, specifically how it relates to Quality Control
  • Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines and Federal regulatory guidelines and procedures, TRID knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of fraud detection
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Prioritization and time management
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
