Job Description

Principal AI Engineer designing and deploying GenAI, NLP, and predictive analytics solutions. Improving healthcare technology platforms through scalable, compliant AI systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and train machine learning and deep learning models, including GenAI, NLP, and predictive analytics solutions for healthcare applications
  • Develop, test, and deploy AI solutions in cloud and on-premise environments
  • Work with large healthcare datasets, performing data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training while ensuring HIPAA and regulatory compliance
  • Implement and optimize AI models within Gainwell’s existing technology stack
  • Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless system integration
  • Monitor, refine, and optimize AI models for accuracy, efficiency, and speed using MLOps best practices
  • Stay updated with AI/ML advancements and explore new technologies and methodologies
  • Ensure AI implementations adhere to healthcare regulations, ethical AI principles, and data privacy standards
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows and optimize business processes using AI-driven solutions

Requirements:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years in AI/ML engineering, including hands-on work with GenAI, NLP, deep learning, and computer vision
  • Strong coding skills in Python and frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Experience with LLMs (e.g., GPT, Gemini, Claude), including prompt engineering and optimization
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), MLOps practices, and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, SQL/NoSQL)
  • Experience developing, deploying, and fine-tuning LLMs for real-world applications, including prompt engineering, model optimization, and inference efficiency
  • Strong programming skills in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other AI frameworks
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business challenges into AI-driven solutions
  • Plus for experience in healthcare AI and understanding of regulatory standards like HIPAA and CMS
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews and during the initial week of orientation
