Job Description
Principal Information Security Engineer responsible for enterprise security tools at Fifth Third Bank. Advancing Zero Trust strategies and mentoring junior team members in a virtual environment.
Responsibilities:
- Define, architect, and support enterprise security tools in partnership with Information Security and IT teams
- Play a key part in advancing Zero Trust strategies
- Drive the full lifecycle of security technology adoption
- Mentor more junior members of the team
- Conduct security research and threat modeling
- Assist in conducting risk assessments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Industry Standard Certifications such as, but not limited to: SANS certifications, ISC2 CISSP, and AWS are preferred
- Eight+ years of IT work experience relevant to the position, including at least six years in a hands-on information security engineering or analyst position
- Experience working with and supporting Cloud, Linux and Windows systems
- Solid conceptual understanding of distributed computing principles
- Working knowledge of application and data security concepts, best practices, and common vulnerabilities.
