Job Description

Principal Finance Specialist supporting E1 financial systems for RTX, an aerospace and defense company. Developing reports, maintaining configurations, and enabling finance operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, maintain, and support E1 financial modules
  • Provide advanced functional support to finance users
  • Maintain critical system configuration
  • Develop reporting and data analysis solutions
  • Participate in ERP implementation and enhancement projects
  • Serve as liaison between Finance and Digital Technology
  • Generate financial and operational reports using Hubble and/or SQL
  • Perform detailed analysis on large data sets
  • Design, review, and evaluate audit reports for accuracy, completeness, and data-change controls
  • Maintain financial system modules, including chart of accounts, accounting instructions, address book records, program versions, reporting masters, UDCs, and related configuration areas
  • Develop, update, and distribute departmental procedures, user guides, and documentation
  • Maintain policies and standard operating procedures
  • Support corporate finance leadership and staff with financial systems issues, enhancements, and project activities
  • Assist finance users with system functionality, reporting needs, and troubleshooting data integrity or transaction issues
  • Collaborate with IT when required
  • Analyze and implement user and facility requests for system configuration or functionality changes
  • Coordinate communication across departments and organizational levels to gather information, secure approvals, and support financial systems decision-making
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Experience supporting ERP systems and managing large data sets
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or qualifying immigration status
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Functional knowledge of JDE E1 Financial Modules or other ERP systems
  • Experience with report creation
  • Understanding of relational databases and data structures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables
  • Experience participating in ERP implementations, upgrades, or system migrations
  • Knowledge of financial business processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and/or Fixed Assets
  • No security clearance required
