Job Description
Producer leading cross-discipline teams and coordinating budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholders. Supporting Pipeworks Studios’ game projects from concept through release and live operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-discipline teams on one or more projects
- Act as the central point of contact between clients, studio leadership, project team, and stakeholders
- Coordinate development to deliver projects on time, on budget, and at or above quality expectations
- Manage development tasks and objectives from concept through release and/or live operations
- Act as primary point of contact for customer stakeholders
- Identify and manage project success goals
- Collaborate with studio leadership and finance to align strategic goals and tactical measures
- Procure project-related software, equipment, and external development resources
- Plan, negotiate, and manage outsourcing contracts
- Estimate, budget, plan, prioritize, and schedule software project tasks
- Track resource allocation, expenditures, schedules, budgets, and contractual commitments
- Provide project financial tracking and reporting
- Identify risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and drive risk action plan results
- Improve project development pipelines and workflows
- Provide regular project status and financial reports to studio leadership
- Communicate project vision, goals, and objectives to teams and stakeholders
- Facilitate internal and external resource communication and coordination
- Work with project teams and QA to manage bug assignment, prioritization, and resolution
- Complete project retrospectives/post mortems
- Provide project demos and interviews as needed
- Contribute to department processes and best practices
Requirements:
- Exceptional project management practices and software expertise
- Demonstrated financial and business acumen
- Proactive and collaborative communication skills
- Motivated by careful, objective, and detail-oriented work
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Amateur or professional experience with Unity, Unreal, or another game engine
- Strong interest in the game industry and desire to create high-quality interactive experiences with an eye toward successful product launch
- Strong experience with task-tracking and project management software
- Previous video game development experience, including shipping at least one title (nice to have)
- Experience in a Live Operations environment in a Production role (nice to have)
- PMI PMP Certification (nice to have)
