Job Description

Program/Data Analyst - Supervisor overseeing government program data collection and analysis efforts. Enhancing reporting capabilities and supporting various data analytical tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • GDIT is hiring a Program/Data Analyst - Supervisor to support the data collection and analysis efforts involved with overseeing the implementation of a government program with respect to the care and placement of participants in a network of care providers
  • The Data Analyst will enhance and develop reporting and analytics capabilities, support forecast modeling, develop automated reporting solutions and dashboards, build briefing products, conduct and deliver analyses, and coordinate/implement data collection efforts
  • Supervisory tasks include: Performance Management and onboarding: Monitor and support the progress of individual team members on an ongoing basis to ensure that the team is supported and meeting the customer’s delivery requirements
  • Provide updates and new guidance to the team as needed per DAIM requirements
  • Provide technical assistance to team members as needed
  • Provides training for new staff on all elements of DAIM and GDIT processes
  • Monitor program areas being supported by GDIT staff and provide suggestions on process improvement when applicable
  • Provides oversight of the quality of work and deliverables
  • Monitor staff performance, providing additional training and feedback as needed
  • Complete Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as necessary
  • Complete annual performance evaluations and monitor staff’s progress towards annual goals
  • Review monthly reports; Approve and submit consolidated reports as needed
  • Review and approve timecards, schedules and flex time requests, leave requests, and expense reports as applicable
  • Serves as primary point of contact for stakeholder questions, requests, or concerns as it relates to the DAIM team contractor staff or overall output
  • Acts as mentor and provides training and technical assistance to GDIT contract staff members that support DAIM while also maintaining team specific training materials
  • Other duties include: Work within federal staff led functional lanes to enhance the collection and analysis of program data
  • Update and develop on-site data collection tools and processes to yield statistically reliable and informative data and support field program assessments
  • Assist in identifying performance outcomes and indicators
  • Identify uniform data points and conduct high-level data interpretation/analysis using a data analytics platform
  • Prepare written summaries and presentations that reflect the results of the data analysis and present findings to agency leadership
  • Oversee the quality and the production of both routine and ad hoc analytical reports
  • Assist in the training of contractor and field staff on the use of data collection and analysis tools
  • Support with projects that promote the continual improvement of data analysis
  • Compile, analyze, and visualize data using a data visualization platform such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Build data repositories/databases and provide ad-hoc data reporting as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, data analytics, or similar degree with at least 8 years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative data interpretation and analysis
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience leading data projects and initiatives or data centric teams
  • High degree of familiarity working with sensitive-PII and integrity in protecting customer data
  • Working knowledge of data visualization platforms (Tableau or Power BI) and scripting languages (R, Python)
  • Working knowledge of SQL and familiarity with relational databases
  • Advanced skills in Excel and VBA
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Experience working with immigrants, refugees, and underserved populations is preferred.
