Job Description

QA Analyst acting as a quality leader in Palia's Gameplay team at Singularity 6. Opportunity for impactful contributions to game quality and player experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive our quality strategy and practices as an embedded member of our development teams.
  • Design test plans and test cases based on project documentation and hands-on field investigations.
  • Test games and software with the player’s perspective in mind at all times.
  • Help guide the development team toward meeting our quality criteria in a collaborative manner.
  • Develop strategies with engineers to integrate quality at the core of our development practices.
  • Highlight risks and communicate clearly with the team about the product’s quality status.
  • Contribute ideas and innovative solutions to the game.
  • Participate in team processes and culture, helping evolve best practices for planning, testing, code review, documentation, and communication.

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise: A strong track record as a QA analyst or tester, demonstrating a deep understanding of quality assurance methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
  • In-studio integration: Significant experience working directly within internal game development teams, closely collaborating with engineers, artists, and designers.
  • Live Ops: Direct experience addressing the unique challenges of a live service game environment, including rapid deployment cycles and real-time feedback loops with players.
  • Effective communication: Ability to translate complex technical or systemic concepts into clear, actionable documentation and verbal briefings for diverse audiences.
  • Mission-driven: A deep commitment to the craft of game development and strong motivation to deliver high-quality, player-focused experiences.
  • Strong product empathy: A keen, up-to-date understanding of game industry trends and player expectations through active engagement with the space.
