Job Description
Reporting Manager overseeing financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance at Nysonian. Responsible for financial reporting, audit support, and team mentorship in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Oversee the management of the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments are accurate and complete
- Review monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries
- Manage and ensure the timely and accurate completion of the month-end and year-end close process
- Provide insight into cost accounting and support decision-making processes related to cost control and profitability analysis
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances between actual and budgeted performance
- Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
- Mentor and provide guidance to reporting team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- CA certification (preferred)
- 6-8 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proactive self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong accountability to deliver on time, with high quality
- Experience with financial reporting for public or private companies
- Experience working in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
