Job Description
Residential remodeling estimator preparing takeoffs and cost estimates for Gill Construction’s luxury U.S. projects. Supporting budgeting, subcontractor pricing, revisions, and preconstruction remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates from architectural plans and specifications
- Assist with budgeting and preconstruction planning
- Coordinate subcontractor bid requests and pricing
- Review drawings, finish schedules, and project documentation
- Update estimates and manage revisions or change orders
- Maintain estimating data within JobTread or similar construction management software
- Assist with scope development and project costing
- Collaborate remotely with U.S.-based project managers and company leadership
- Produce accurate and well-organized estimates
- Communicate clearly and consistently with the team
- Deliver work with minimal errors or scope gaps
- Continuously improve estimating processes and workflows
Requirements:
- Experience in construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, or preconstruction
- Experience with JobTread, Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, or similar construction software
- Strong Microsoft Excel and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent written and spoken English
- High attention to detail with strong follow-through
- Reliable high-speed internet and a professional home office
- Availability to overlap several hours with U.S. business hours
- Residential remodeling or custom home construction experience preferred
- Luxury residential or high-end remodeling experience preferred
- Experience managing change orders preferred
- Material procurement or purchasing support preferred
- Project coordination or Assistant Project Manager experience preferred
- Previous experience working remotely for a U.S.-based construction company preferred
- Updated resume, brief introduction, software list, and project examples requested with application
