Job Description
Senior Estimator developing budgets and bids for Integra’s turnkey data center construction solutions. Performing takeoffs, vendor negotiations, and cost analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Gather necessary information and requirements, set priorities, and prepare work for estimation
- Perform quantity takeoffs for materials and labor to develop accurate production estimates
- Analyze construction drawings and interpret specifications to ensure accurate cost projections for each elevation
- Prepare detailed construction budgets by reviewing plans, updating specifications, and identifying phase costs
- Evaluate purchase offers, cost changes, additions, and site requirements against budget constraints
- Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors, specify materials, identify qualified subcontractors, and negotiate pricing
- Maintain cost keys and price masters; resolve cost discrepancies through data collection and analysis
- Prepare reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing cost data and project trends
- Maintain service quality by adhering to organizational standards and procedures
- Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs across corporate, division, and local teams
- Keep current with industry trends, technologies, and standards through workshops, publications, and professional societies
- Collaborate with Project Management on proposals and with Construction Management on production rates, milestones, and job sequencing
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; 8+ years preferred
- Quality focused
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Strong budget and documentation skills
- Vendor relationship management experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook, plus Adobe
- Working knowledge of construction scheduling
- Ability to develop and manage teams
- Ability to identify and resolve complex issues
- Strong decision-making skills
