Job Description

Sales Representative expanding school-district adoption of Great Minds’ math, science, and ELA curricula in California’s Bay Area. Managing enterprise sales cycles, territory pipelines, and district relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the full sales cycle for enterprise accounts
  • Build trust-based relationships with district stakeholders
  • Develop and execute territory plans for new sales, renewals, and services
  • Build, monitor, and refine territory forecasts with sales leadership
  • Manage the territory budget
  • Assess the competitive landscape and gather market intelligence
  • Understand district priorities, state and local political context, and current education research
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline
  • Assess district needs and stay informed about upcoming district adoptions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date territory data
  • Manage inbound and outbound leads
  • Conduct discovery meetings to uncover sales opportunities
  • Engage district-level decision-makers through clear, professional communication
  • Deliver sales presentations and support pilots for Tier 2 accounts
  • Conduct regular in-person district visits
  • Participate in regional events and support implementations
  • Lead territory strategy with Pre-Sales and Success Teams
  • Provide actionable insights to the Regional Sales Director
  • Maintain district check-ins and connect districts with implementation resources

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the educational sector
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong knowledge of educational programs, curriculum, and pedagogy
  • Ability to articulate the value of educational solutions clearly and compellingly
  • Proven success managing and growing a sales pipeline within a designated territory
  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, particularly with Pre-Sales, Success, and Implementation teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Marketing, or Liberal Arts
  • Must reside within the designated territory; candidates based in the Bay Area in Northern California
  • Ability to periodically lift, reach, and move product up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time through domestic air travel and driving, including overnight stays
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Must provide declaration of COVID-19 vaccination status
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to perform the role at certain client sites depending on vaccination status
