Job Description

Salesforce Developer for Go-To-Market Automation team designing complex Salesforce solutions with Apex and Lightning Components. Responsible for integrations with external platforms and monitoring services.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom Apex code, triggers, and Lightning components
  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems, primarily using Workato
  • Manage code in GitHub, including branching strategy, pull requests, and code reviews
  • Support and monitor Heroku-hosted services connected to Salesforce
  • Use DataDog to monitor integration performance and diagnose production issues
  • Collaborate with admins, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Write and maintain unit tests, participate in code reviews
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases and recommend platform improvements

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Apex (classes, triggers, batch/schedulable Apex, asynchronous processing)
  • Experience building Lightning Web Components (LWC); familiarity with Aura is a plus
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce data model, SOQL/SOSL, and governor limits
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, middleware (Workato experience strongly preferred), or platform events
  • Familiarity with Salesforce security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, field-level security)
  • Experience with Git/GitHub for version control and CI/CD deployment tools (e.g., Gearset, Copado, SFDX/CLI)
  • Understanding of Salesforce declarative tools (Flow, Process Builder) and when to use them vs. code
  • Ability to write unit tests meeting coverage requirements and following testing best practices
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (Platform Developer II a plus) is a nice to have
  • Hands-on experience with Workato for building and maintaining integration recipes is a plus
  • Experience with Heroku for hosting Salesforce-connected apps or services is a plus
  • Familiarity with DataDog (or similar) for monitoring integration health and troubleshooting production issues is a plus
  • Experience with Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud implementations is a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce DX and scratch org development is a plus
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development environments is a plus
