Job Description
Senior Accountant managing tax and audit responsibilities for Nooks, a CIaaS startup. Overseeing close processes and supporting accounting team with software improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Monthly, Quarterly, and Year-End close processes in conjunction with the 3rd party accounting team.
- Review close processes and procedures for reasonableness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Vet potential software improvements to support a more efficient accounting function, including the usage of automated / AI-assisted book-keeping and JE entry.
- Support research into tax strategies as Nooks continues to grow.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of accounting experience (Audit, Tax, AP/AR, etc.)
- CPA preferred
- Comfort with independent research on company accounting policy inputs & treatments.
