Job Description
Senior AI Innovation Engineer building secure, production genAI tools and automation for Abstra, a Latin American tech-talent services company. Designing APIs, data pipelines, LLM, RAG, and agentic solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Interface across all areas of the company, partnering with Marketing, Sales, PMO, GTM, Delivery, and Operations
- Design, build, and operate internal tools and services that leverage genAI to improve efficiency and reduce toil
- Build workflow automation using event-driven systems to eliminate manual processes across commercial operations, delivery, and managed services
- Develop production-grade genAI applications using LLMs, RAG architectures, and agentic patterns
- Build internal platform capabilities, including APIs, data pipelines, and integrations connecting business systems
- Create reusable solution accelerators that can eventually be packaged and delivered to customers
- Develop observability and operational tooling, including monitoring, alerting, and reliability infrastructure
- Ship secure, enterprise-grade, production genAI tools and services
Requirements:
- Experience architecting and building complex, event-driven, data-oriented business applications, preferably in Python or an equivalent OOP language
- Polyglot preferred; functional background strongly valued
- Willingness and ability to pick up new programming languages and technologies as needed
- Ability to design, deploy, and evolve applications at scale with third-party dependencies
- Knowledge of REST, GraphQL, and event-driven patterns
- Security-first mindset with a strong focus on user and data security
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, migrations, data analysis, synchronization flows, and ETL
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience working with multiple data sources in complex scenarios
- Cloud experience and good working knowledge of AWS
- Experience writing and building testing frameworks, including end-to-end, smoke, integration, and unit tests; or ability to clearly explain testing philosophy and approach, particularly for genAI systems
- Must complete employment verification and background checks after accepting an offer
- Must have employment verification covering job titles and dates of employment with two previous employers
