Job Description
Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer at Avenga examining and validating ML methodologies in an R&D environment. Collaborating with engineers and researchers to build practical prototypes.
Responsibilities:
- Explore, reproduce, benchmark and validate ML methodologies
- Work in an R&D / PoC environment
- Collaborate with AI engineers and ML researchers
- Validate model performance and prepare ground truth data
Requirements:
- Strong machine learning fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with ML research or applied research projects
- Experience reading scientific / academic ML papers
- Ability to dissect academic papers and debug open-source repositories
- Experience identifying, curating, and constructing benchmark datasets
- Strong Python skills
- Practical understanding of model evaluation and metrics
- Comfortable working under compute constraints
