Job Description

Senior AI security engineer securing Samsara’s Connected Operations IoT platform. Red-teaming software, cloud, hardware, and firmware against AI-driven attacks.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver security assessments of Samsara’s software, code, and firmware against AI-driven/adversarial attacks
  • Implement application, software, hardware, and firmware security fixes
  • Translate general AI security findings into Samsara-specific application security fixes
  • Adapt software security techniques for hardware and embedded firmware
  • Build and pressure-test AI-enabled security tooling and workflows
  • Drive adoption of valuable security tooling across the broader security organization
  • Partner with engineering, hardware, and leadership, including VP-level threat-modeling sessions
  • Serve as Samsara’s subject-matter expert on AI-related security risk
  • Define and drive Samsara’s medium- and long-term strategy for safe and effective AI adoption in security operations
  • Conduct offensive validation and red-team Samsara’s systems using frontier AI/LLM tools
  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in application security, vulnerability management, threat modeling, offensive security, or a closely related discipline
  • Demonstrated application fix impact and influence across a large part of an organization
  • Hands-on experience applying AI/LLM tools to real security workflows, including APIs, agents, or automation
  • Experience conducting technical security assessments across software and hardware/firmware environments
  • Experience creating secure-code solutions with engineers using languages such as GoLang
  • Experience developing AI and agentic solutions using GitHub and AWS cloud
  • Required experience integrating, securing, or red-teaming AI-enabled systems, such as LLMs, agentic workflows, prompt injection, or adversarial testing
  • Experience with AI-specific attack techniques such as prompt injection, jailbreaks, and model/agent abuse
  • Experience building or validating security controls for agentic AI, RAG systems, or LLM-integrated platforms
  • Track record of driving organization-wide security strategy or presenting technical findings to senior/executive stakeholders
  • Relevant industry certifications such as OSCP, GIAC, CISSP, or AWS certifications are advantageous
