Job Description
Senior SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Analyst assisting in financial statements for Hilton Grand Vacations. Involves communication with various departments and compliance reporting responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of all financial statements and related disclosures for SEC filings under US GAAP
- Communicate with accounting, finance, and other departments in order obtain necessary documentation to prepare the financial statements and related disclosures
- Complete financial statements and reporting requirements for statutory audit procedures required for various locations and other compliance reporting
- Participate in researching and detailing technical accounting analyses of transactions, accounting policies and implementing new accounting standards
- Involved in other corporate accounting projects as needed
Requirements:
- BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance
- Understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley
- Ability to communicate clear and concise ideas both verbally and in writing
- Attention to detail in preparing SEC filings and other financial statements
- Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for the team to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with core strategic goals
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems
- Ability to analyze financial data in an accurate and timely manner
- Ability to coordinate between various corporate offices and departments
- Microsoft office suite knowledge
- Big 4/CPA firm experience (Preferred, but not required)
- CPA license (or in process of licensing) (Preferred, but not required)
- 2 years of related work experience or experience in SEC reporting (Preferred, but not required)
- Experience with Workiva (or similar tool) (Preferred, but not required)
- Accounting systems experience (Oracle, FCCS, and FinRep) (Preferred, but not required)
