Job Description
Senior Application Engineer maintaining mission-critical business applications and integrations at GDIT. Ensuring operational stability, performance, and security while collaborating with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support for business-critical applications and integrations operations
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of applications and integrations
- Monitor system health, job execution, data flows, and respond to alerts
- Partner with functional teams to troubleshoot process issues
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Design, develop and maintain integrations using file-based methods or APIs
- Lead testing, deployments, and migrations
- Identify and support continuous process improvement on integrations
- Deliver excellent customer service to business users
Requirements:
- 5+ years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Hands-on experience supporting business critical applications
- Experience specifically working with file-based integrations and integration platforms
- Strong understanding of enterprise system architecture, data structures, and integration patterns
- Ability to bridge technical implementation and business processes
- Experience with ITSM ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)
- Strong documentation, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work with business users, vendors, and internal technical teams
