Job Description
Senior Commissioning Engineer at Serverfarm implementing commissioning strategies for critical infrastructure. Leading commissioning activities for data centers in North America with significant travel involved.
Responsibilities:
- The Senior Commissioning Engineer will own and implement the Serverfarm commissioning strategy in the execution of L4-L5 commissioning activities they are leading.
- They will drive quality by recommending and enforcing standards for testing the functional performance critical infrastructure systems, helping DEV teams to validate new equipment and suppliers, ensuring QA and QC of documentation, and identifying training requirements for new equipment and updated sequence of operations (SOO) for operations.
- This role is pivotal in enhancing ServerFarm’s competitive edge through delivery of cutting-edge technology solutions that are aligned for Operations and business requirements and future growth.
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling 50% of the time to our data center locations in the Houston, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia regions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or closely aligned engineering discipline, or commensurate industry experience or military experience in lieu of degree may be acceptable.
- 7+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
