Job Description
Senior Controls Engineer designing and implementing control systems for various applications at Shermco. Requires safety-focused mindset and significant experience in industrial control systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement control systems for various applications.
- Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), and other control devices.
- Test and validate control systems to ensure they meet performance requirements.
- Install, configure, and test software systems on-site.
- Evaluate system performance and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in control systems and startup/commissioning.
- Must have a strong understanding of control theory, automation, and programming.
- Must have experience with low voltage controls.
- Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English via verbal and written methods.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools.
- Experience with pipeline and/or oil and gas processing is considered a plus.
