Job Description
Senior product counsel advising Pinterest’s visual inspiration platform on AI, privacy, advertising, and technology deals. Guiding product development, partnerships, compliance, and AI-enabled legal processes.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with strategy, engineering, product management, communications, and legal teams to identify and manage legal issues and risks throughout product development
- Provide pragmatic and strategic advice as product areas evolve
- Advise on privacy, digital advertising, AI, IP/copyright, content acquisition, and data use
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex strategic product partnerships and commercial agreements
- Translate complex legal frameworks into actionable guidance
- Monitor and interpret GDPR, CCPA, FTC rules, and other relevant laws and regulations
- Help teams implement compliant processes
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and influence Pinterest’s strategy
- Develop scalable legal processes, automation, and AI-enabled solutions
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in a demanding and innovative legal environment
- At least 1–2 years in-house at a tech company preferred
- Experience counseling on digital advertising/ad tech or core consumer product legal issues
- Privacy background required, including GDPR, CCPA, FTC rules, and related requirements
- Experience leading negotiation of major technology and commercial deals
- Exceptional judgment and impeccable integrity
- Excellent communication and client-service skills
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across product, engineering, and business teams
- Strategic thinking and a track record of creative, pragmatic solutions
- Ability to learn new areas of law and technical product knowledge quickly
- Strong project management skills
- AI-forward mindset and experience using AI tools
- Bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
