Job Description
Senior Credit Analyst supporting complex Australian mortgage applications and collaborating with mortgage brokers. Focused on credit strategy, loan structuring, and lender policy interpretation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct advanced credit assessments for Australian mortgage applications, including PAYG, self-employed, investor, and SMSF scenarios.
- Complete accurate servicing calculations in line with Australian lender requirements.
- Analyse borrower financials, including tax returns, cash flow statements, and balance sheets.
- Research and interpret lender policies to identify suitable and competitive lending solutions.
- Recommend loan structures that meet lender criteria while supporting client objectives.
- Prepare high-quality credit proposals and lender submissions.
- Package applications accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with lender and industry standards.
- Liaise with lenders regarding policy clarification, credit decisions, and conditions.
- Assist with broker-delegated client communication when required.
- Use MyCRM daily to manage pipeline, workflows, and client documentation.
- Maintain high standards of compliance, policy accuracy, and credit quality.
- Collaborate with brokers to refine internal systems, templates, and processes.
- Communicate using Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and related tools.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Australian home loan lending, mortgage credit analysis, or mortgage broking.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian lender policies and servicing models.
- Proven ability to structure loans and assess complex credit scenarios.
- High-level capability in interpreting financial statements.
- Experience with MyCRM preferred but not essential.
- Experience using Apply Online.
- Proficient with lender servicing calculators and Excel-based models.
- Confident using Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
- Professional communication style and strong work ethic.
