Job Description
Senior Data Engineer at Semantix focusing on Microsoft Azure solutions. Designing data pipelines and engaging in strategic engineering projects to enhance data quality and governance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and optimize scalable data pipelines.
- Implement and maintain data ingestion, transformation and loading flows (ETL/ELT).
- Work with Azure Data Factory (ADF) to orchestrate pipelines.
- Develop solutions using Azure Databricks (Spark).
- Implement best practices for versioning and CI/CD using Azure DevOps.
- Manage data governance and access control via Unity Catalog.
- Structure environments (Dev, QA, Prod) following best practices.
- Ensure data quality, performance and security.
- Support architectural decisions and platform evolution for the data platform.
- Collaborate with business areas and cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Strong experience as a Senior Data Engineer.
- Extensive work experience in Microsoft Azure environments.
- Practical experience with:
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Azure Databricks
- Spark (PySpark or Scala)
- Azure DevOps (CI/CD, Repos, Pipelines)
- Unity Catalog (or equivalent governance tools)
- Experience with Data Lake and modern data architecture.
- Knowledge of data modeling.
- Experience with code versioning (Git).
- Experience with production environments and structured processes.
