Job Description
Senior DevOps Engineer building and maintaining a reliable, secure, and scalable platform at efood. Be part of a rapidly growing team changing the food delivery landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Build and Enhance Infrastructure.
- Work on designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure systems to ensure they are secure, reliable, and scalable.
- Build tools and automations to streamline processes, move faster without sacrificing quality.
- Set up and manage monitoring tools to track system health, identify anomalies, and take preemptive measures to avoid downtime.
- Work closely with development teams to improve systems efficiency, reliability, observability and security.
- Implement and follow security best practices to protect data integrity and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Regularly evaluate the production readiness of our services and infrastructure, propose and implement the appropriate changes in collaboration with the development teams.
- Manage and resolve incidents, perform root cause analyses, and work on preventive measures.
- Maintain clear and detailed documentation for infrastructure configurations, build and deployment processes, and operations practices.
- Work in a high-paced environment, with different Agile teams and stakeholders.
- Be part of a small team, involved in the end-to-end delivery process.
Requirements:
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent area of a technical study
- At least 5 years of working experience in a similar role
- An engineering background with deep computer science fundamentals
- Experience with any of the major Cloud vendors, preferably AWS
- Experience with databases, both SQL and NoSQL, preferably (Postgres, MongoDB)
- Hands-on experience with configuration and infrastructure management tools (eg. Terraform, Ansible)
- Background with the build-out of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines (CI/CD)
- Experience with container orchestration and management technologies (eg. Docker, Kubernetes, EKS) will be considered a plus
- Good understanding of networking technologies: TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, Load Balancing, Routing, and Firewalling
- Experience in implementing and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems (eg. Prometheus stack, Grafana)
- A strong team player attitude with excellent communication skills
- Superior analytical skills and a strong sense of urgency and ownership in your work
- Strong communication and collaboration skills (English is a must).
