Job Description
Senior Finance Business Partner guiding financial decisions, reporting and value for money at Stonewater. Leading a finance team supporting UK social housing communities.
Responsibilities:
- Own management reporting for the Operations directorate, including management accounts, budgets, quarterly forecasting, KPIs and variance analysis
- Work with budget holders at all levels, including the Chief Operating Officer
- Provide financial insight, challenge and support to senior stakeholders
- Build strong relationships across the organisation as a trusted finance partner
- Provide constructive challenge, commercial advice and practical solutions
- Support effective decision-making and identify Value for Money opportunities and savings
- Lead and develop a team of three colleagues, including an Apprentice
- Collaborate with Finance team members and improve finance processes and systems
- Deputise for the Head of Business Partnering when required
- Approve reconciliation work
- Maintain contact with external auditors throughout the year
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant
- Strong experience across management accounting, month and year-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and finance business partnering
- Strong customer-focused approach to Finance Business Partnering
- Confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to turn complex financial information into clear, meaningful insight
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Experience of working successfully within a changing environment
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to identify, lead and deliver improvements to financial systems and processes
- Strong commercial acumen and genuine commitment to delivering value for money
- Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, if applicable
- Satisfactory references
- Valid Right to Work document
