Job Description
Finance Lead overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and compliance within DMG Entertainment's financial operations. Modernizing processes while ensuring adherence to U.S. financial regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial reporting across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles
- Ensure strong compliance with U.S. financial regulations and standards, including GAAP, IRS requirements, SEC reporting, and SOX where applicable
- Provide guidance and direction to bookkeepers and other finance support staff, ensuring work is coded and structured correctly from an accounting and tax perspective
- Improve and modernize financial processes by identifying opportunities for automation and better workflow design
- Research, evaluate, and implement AI-powered and finance technology tools to improve reporting speed, accuracy, forecasting, and decision-making
- Help design scalable accounting and finance processes for a growing business, with a strong focus on efficiency and control
- Present financial insights and recommendations clearly to company leadership and key stakeholders
- Assess the operational and compliance implications of adopting new AI and financial tools, including data integrity, privacy, and audit trail considerations.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in U.S. accounting, financial compliance, and reporting
- Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IRS regulations, and general U.S. financial controls; exposure to SEC reporting and SOX is a plus
- Experience working with U.S.-based entities and advising on accounting treatment, financial structure, and compliance decisions
- Ability to guide bookkeepers and finance support staff with a strong understanding of how transactions should be classified and managed
- Experience improving finance processes, reporting workflows, and planning practices
- Openness to AI tools, automation, and modern finance systems
- Strong strategic thinking, ownership, and communication skills
- Nice to Have
- CPA or equivalent strong U.S. accounting certification/background
- Experience in multi-entity or multi-state U.S. businesses
- Experience implementing financial systems, automation, or AI-enabled finance tools
