Job Description

Senior Financial Systems Analyst optimizing NetSuite financial processes for Scentbird’s digital fragrance subscription business. Driving AI automation, reporting, integrations, controls, and user enablement.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the functional expert for financial processes in NetSuite, including record-to-report, procure-to-pay, revenue recognition, and inventory and cost accounting
  • Gather and challenge Finance and Accounting requirements and translate them into functional specifications with testable acceptance criteria
  • Document current-state processes and identify automation opportunities
  • Own user acceptance testing by building test plans, coordinating business testing, and signing off before production
  • Identify and deliver AI-driven improvements for document capture and coding, anomaly detection, reconciliation assistance, and close acceleration
  • Evaluate and adopt NetSuite native AI capabilities
  • Use AI for analysis, documentation, saved searches, specifications, test cases, and troubleshooting
  • Partner with technology leadership on AI guardrails for financial data
  • Route and prioritize work with the managed services partner, NetSuite ACS, and in-house developers
  • Assist with interfaces between NetSuite, external platforms, and custom systems
  • Manage the financial systems request queue, including intake, triage, prioritization, and status communication
  • Hold managed services partners accountable for scope, quality, and timelines; review statements of work and validate deliverables
  • Perform NetSuite configuration, saved searches, reports, dashboards, and minor field or form changes
  • Assess semiannual NetSuite releases and coordinate regression testing
  • Act as the first point of contact for financial system users, resolving or escalating issues
  • Write and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and training materials; run onboarding and refresher sessions
  • Track recurring issues and convert them into permanent fixes
  • Build and maintain saved searches, SuiteAnalytics workbooks, and financial reports
  • Monitor integrations with ecommerce and subscription platforms, payment processors, 3PL and warehouse systems, banks, tax engines, and the data warehouse
  • Support bulk data operations and related reconciliation
  • Support internal and external audit requests, ITGC and application control testing, and evidence gathering
  • Represent Technology on financial systems initiatives, including module rollouts, brand and subsidiary onboarding, chart of accounts changes, and new application evaluations
  • Contribute to the multi-year financial systems roadmap with Finance and technology leadership

Requirements:

  • Overseas applications only; non-U.S. applicants only; domestic U.S. applications will not be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial systems, ERP analyst, or systems accountant role; 10+ years strongly preferred
  • Expert-level NetSuite skills (required)
  • Deep functional command of financial modules
  • Hands-on fluency with saved searches, reports and dashboards, custom records and fields, SuiteFlow, and SuiteAnalytics
  • Strong command of core accounting: general ledger and chart of accounts, AP and AR, subledgers, accruals, allocations, month-end and year-end close, and deferred revenue
  • Familiarity with financial controls, audit support, ITGCs, and segregation of duties
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • Additional ERP and financial systems experience highly desired, including Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle Fusion, Workday Financials, Microsoft Dynamics, or comparable platforms
  • Familiarity with adjacent tools such as Coupa, BILL, Avalara or Vertex, Ramp, Brex, Expensify, FloQast, or BlackLine
  • Familiarity with integration and iPaaS platforms such as Celigo, Boomi, Workato, or custom REST integrations
  • Experience working with external implementation or managed services partners and managing their deliverables
  • SQL and advanced spreadsheet skills
  • Experience in ecommerce, DTC, subscription billing, and consumer products is a strong plus
  • NetSuite certification is a plus
  • AI fluency and ability to verify AI outputs when working with financial data
