Job Description
Full-stack developer improving React UX and building Python accounting features for mika’s AI-powered small-business finance platform. Owning complex features end-to-end in a senior, autonomous team.
Responsibilities:
- Drive frontend improvements and proactively elevate UX and visual quality
- Build and own complex full-stack features in the accounting platform
- Own features end-to-end, including user flows, edge cases, error states, and architecture
- Use Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI engineering tools as a primary development workflow
- Adapt and extend the Python/FastAPI and Django backend, including CRUD-level changes and beyond
- Contribute to code quality and architecture decisions in a small senior team
Requirements:
- Professional experience in software development with a proven track record of owning and delivering complex projects
- Expertise in React for high-quality, accessible, production-ready user interfaces
- Sharp eye for design and pixel-perfect implementation of layouts and components
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot
- Ability to independently navigate and extend a Python/FastAPI backend
- Systems-thinking mindset for mapping full features, edge cases, and failure modes before coding
- Fluency in English
- German language knowledge is a welcome bonus, not required
- Background in agentic AI systems or LLM-powered products is nice to have
- Familiarity with B2B fintech, PostgreSQL, or German accounting standards such as DATEV is nice to have
