Job Description

Senior Global Contract Specialist managing client and vendor contracts for First Advantage’s HR technology and background screening business. Supporting negotiations, legal compliance, renewals, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of company client and vendor contracts from initial request through final signature and distribution
  • Ensure contracts adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and requirements
  • Serve as contractual subject matter expert and ensure contract redlines receive necessary approvals
  • Manage standard agreements and documentation requirements and ensure contract accuracy and completeness
  • Assist sales and procurement with required documentation for specialized services
  • Support client negotiations and liaise among sales/procurement, global operations, and legal
  • Represent First Advantage with legal on client and vendor calls
  • Draft routine contract language within defined parameters and manage SLA requirements
  • Administer, maintain, and track renewal reminders for contractual documents in the contract management database
  • Deliver contract management knowledge and refresher sessions
  • Support company or strategic projects from a contract management perspective
  • Support corporate in-house counsel
  • Develop and directly supervise entry-level professional individual contributors
  • Collaborate with other First Advantage business groups to support business performance

Requirements:

  • Advanced contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing highly complex contractual transactions with minimal supervision
  • Experience mentoring, coaching or leading other specialists
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and coordinate input from multiple stakeholders and SMEs under tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines with urgency, accuracy, and complete deliverables
  • Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions
  • Proficient understanding of contract management principles and guidelines
  • Analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Negotiation and stakeholder/customer management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with CRM tools and data management applications such as Siebel
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Degree in Business Administration or a comparable discipline
  • Paralegal Certification or above is a plus
  • Eight or more years of corporate contracting experience
  • At least two years of experience involving sales of service
  • Proven skills in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and redlining contractual agreements, including MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, and SLAs
  • Experience in multinational company interactions and international cultural/work environments
