Job Description
Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor at Cigna defining and implementing complex technology architectures. Driving technical standards and leading cross-functional teams to improve system performance and security.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain technical roadmaps, blueprints, and standards for complex, large-scale systems
- Guide development and engineering teams in adopting best practices, modern frameworks (e.g., Azure, AI/ML), and CI/CD tools
- Design secure, resilient, and scalable solutions (e.g., microservices, cloud-native applications)
- Act as a subject matter expert, partnering with business teams to translate needs into actionable technical requirements
- Enforce compliance with architectural standards, manage technical debt, and drive performance improvements through retrospectives
- Provide guidance to junior architects and engineers to bridge knowledge gaps
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in IT architecture, software design, or infrastructure
- 3+ years' in a lead role
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), microservices, API management, and database technologies
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to think strategically
- Ability to influence cross-functionals for positive outcomes
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field highly desired
