Job Description
Medical Science Liaison advancing Sobi’s rare-disease therapies through KOL engagement and scientific communications. Driving country medical activities across specified German territories.
Responsibilities:
- Drive country medical activities in alignment with regional initiatives and the Global Medical Plan
- Proactively manage medical scientific stakeholders and create value for patients through stakeholder engagement, medical scientific projects and scientific communications
- Identify, develop and maintain collaborative relationships with KOLs, scientific experts and other medical scientific stakeholders
- Compile, analyze, prepare and deliver high-quality medical, pharmaceutical and scientific communications
- Create and execute stakeholder engagement plans
- Support the country Global Brand team in developing local medical tactics and provide input to HQ/regional plans
- Organize and set up scientific advisory boards with appropriate key stakeholders
- Contribute to medical scientific aspects of local and regional activities
- Provide local and regional feedback to HQ during Business Development Due Diligence
- Deliver inputs to head office-led medical programs before launch
- Coordinate Investigator Sponsored Studies and support local studies
- Coordinate medical information enquiries with Medical Advisor/Senior Medical Advisor and HQ in Stockholm
- Attend relevant local, regional and global congresses and symposia to represent Sobi
- Represent scientific interests in internal and external forums and interact with KOLs at hospitals and NGOs
- Maintain and develop relationships with scientific societies and central decision makers
- Advise the organization and management on medical matters and legal implications
- Keep medical and scientific knowledge for the therapeutic area current and monitor therapeutic trends for new and existing products
Requirements:
- University degree in medical/science or another relevant field
- 3+ years of direct experience in the pharmaceutical environment
- Experience from medical affairs, medical/clinical science, clinical development, access and health economy
- In-depth knowledge of national healthcare systems and practices
- Experience in KOL Management and Account Planning
- Ability to create and network with KOLs at national level
- Experience in communicating and building relations with authorities
- Located within territory: Rostock, Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, Kulmbach, Nordhausen and surrounding areas
- Valid driver license
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English in addition to the local language
- Proficient user of modern IT and office software
