Job Description
Senior .NET Engineer building backend services, APIs, and scheduled processes for Avenga’s mortgage and consumer-credit legal-tech client. Working remotely from Cordoba with US Eastern Time hours.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, test, and maintain .NET applications
- Build and maintain data layers with Entity Framework and direct SQL Server code
- Write and optimize complex SQL and tune database performance
- Integrate third-party APIs and custom client services securely and reliably
- Apply dependency injection for modular, testable code
- Deploy and troubleshoot applications on IIS and on-prem environments
- Use logging and telemetry, such as Application Insights, to monitor production
- Improve legacy code for readability, testability, and maintainability
- Use AI coding assistants responsibly to boost productivity and validate outputs
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to build, maintain, and enhance back-end services, APIs, and scheduled processes supporting legal-tech workflows
Requirements:
- 5+ years of .NET experience, with proficiency in C# across .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET (9+) development
- Practical experience with Entity Framework
- Strong SQL Server skills: complex queries, joins, CTEs, stored procedures, and query tuning
- Hands-on experience with ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Web API
- Experience building console/scheduled applications in production
- Comfortable using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar AI code assistants
- Familiar with dependency injection using Unity and Microsoft DI patterns
- Experience deploying and managing applications on IIS and on-prem infrastructure
- Comfortable working in and improving legacy codebases
- English level - Upper-intermediate or higher
- Ability to work US Eastern Time (EST) hours
- Nice-to-have: experience integrating third-party APIs and custom client integrations
- Nice-to-have: background in legal-tech, service-of-process, mortgage, or adjacent domains
- Nice-to-have: experience with document and PDF processing
- Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with Azure services such as DevOps, Application Insights, and Key Vault
