Job Description
Node.js engineer developing Tether’s P2P stack and modular npm ecosystem. Building production-scale software for Tether’s global blockchain and digital finance products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the P2P stack.
- Expand the ecosystem, including over 1500 public npm modules and a robust, modular codebase.
- Build and maintain production-scale Node.js applications.
- Create and manage reusable npm modules.
- Test and debug software.
- Optimize network protocols or systems for latency and throughput.
- Collaborate within a remote, globally distributed team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Node.js development with production-scale applications.
- Strong competency in writing modular, maintainable code.
- Experience creating and managing reusable npm modules.
- Solid skillset in testing & debugging.
- Deep interest or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems.
- Comfort working in a remote, globally distributed team; good communication skills.
- Preferred: Experience with native Node.js extensions (C/C++), or binding JS to lower-level code.
- Preferred: Demonstrated ability to optimize network protocols or systems: latency, throughput, etc.
- Preferred: Familiarity with advanced networking concepts.
- Preferred: Past contributions to OSS projects, especially in P2P or decentralized tech.
