Job Description
Node.js Software Engineer developing Tether’s peer-to-peer stack and modular npm ecosystem. Contributing to Tether’s global blockchain and digital finance products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the P2P stack
- Expand Tether’s ecosystem, including over 1,500 public npm modules and a robust, modular codebase
- Build products and solutions contributing to Tether’s global digital finance, blockchain, peer-to-peer technology, and data-sharing ecosystem
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Node.js development with production-scale applications
- Strong competency in writing modular, maintainable code
- Experience creating and managing reusable npm modules
- Solid skillset in testing & debugging
- Deep interest or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems
- Comfort working in a remote, globally distributed team
- Good communication skills
- Preferred: Experience with native Node.js extensions (C/C++), or binding JS to lower-level code
- Preferred: Demonstrated ability to optimize network protocols or systems, including latency and throughput
- Preferred: Familiarity with advanced networking concepts
- Preferred: Past contributions to OSS projects, especially in P2P or decentralized tech
