Job Description
Node.js Software Engineer developing Tether’s peer-to-peer stack and modular npm ecosystem. Building production-scale software for a global digital finance company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the P2P stack
- Expand the ecosystem, including over 1500 public npm modules and a robust, modular codebase
- Build and maintain production-scale Node.js applications
- Create and manage reusable npm modules
- Test and debug software
- Contribute to P2P and distributed-systems technology development
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Node.js development with production-scale applications
- Strong competency in writing modular, maintainable code
- Experience creating and managing reusable npm modules
- Solid skillset in testing & debugging
- Deep interest or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems
- Comfort working in a remote, globally distributed team
- Good communication skills
- Preferred: Experience with native Node.js extensions (C/C++), or binding JS to lower-level code
- Preferred: Demonstrated ability to optimize network protocols or systems, including latency and throughput
- Preferred: Familiarity with advanced networking concepts
- Preferred: Past contributions to OSS projects, especially in P2P or decentralized tech
