Job Description

Senior Project Manager responsible for the delivery of complex Grid Automation projects at GE Vernova. Overseeing project execution, stakeholder management, and financial control in a remote setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of complex projects within the Grid Automation solutions domain
  • Ensure alignment of project goals with overall business objectives
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
  • Ensure safety and quality through the overall execution cycle
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams
  • Ensure clear communication and manage expectations throughout the life cycle of all projects in the portfolio
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Utilize planning and scheduling tools to monitor progress, manage the critical path and deliver the project in time
  • Ensure optimal budget control developing clear work breakdown structure and monitoring Earned Value (EV) also called Budgeted Cost of Work Performed (BCWP)
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks identified during project execution
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the energy or Grid Automation sector
  • Proven experience in managing complex, multi-faceted projects
  • Experience with protection relays, bay controller units, auxiliary relays, and telecom equipment is highly desirable
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira)
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to travel to customer sites and offices as required by the project plan (around 20%)
