Job Description
Senior SAP Consultant configuring and supporting SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, FI/CO, and Logistics solutions. Delivering implementations, customizations, troubleshooting, and client project leadership for Deutsche Telekom customers.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and implement clients’ SAP modules, providing functional expertise, hands-on delivery, customization, guidance, presentations, and instruction
- Understand business needs and translate them into SAP ERP configuration, reports, and specifications
- Serve as the direct client contact for troubleshooting relevant modules
- Investigate, analyze, and solve software problems and map client business requirements, processes, and objectives
- Develop product modifications to satisfy client needs
- Define systems strategy, develop requirements, design and prototype, test, train, qualify and quantify support procedures, and implement business solutions
- Act as technical lead and functional project manager for company-wide SAP projects when required
- Participate in SAP implementation projects
- Write ABAP query reports and dialog programs and/or interact with ABAP writers
- Manage and understand customer master data and its impact on business and master data management policy
- Provide continuous project-status feedback and constructive options
- Deliver professional customer service and build long-term business relationships
- Identify complex client issues using technical and industry knowledge
- Train and mentor junior colleagues
- Analyze customization demands and propose appropriate solutions
- Consult with ABAP developers or solution designers on implementation designs
- Document system changes and new component designs
- Test newly added functionality to eliminate errors in production systems
- Present proposed solutions to customers
- Provide senior support for new business and transitions across SAP modules
Requirements:
- Experienced SAP consultant in one or more modules: HCM, SF, FI/CO, or Logistic
- Understanding of business environment and IT, processes, organization, and implications of changes
- Sound understanding of IT architecture
- Proficiency in a specific SAP module, customizing, and SAP reports
- Ability to read ABAP code and debug system behavior
- Ability to consult technical solutions with system users
- Experience gathering functional/technical requirements from a client, analyzing and preparing a new solution, testing, and participating in rollouts
- Strong interpersonal, consulting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Strong customer orientation, initiative, enthusiasm, and results orientation
- Ability to complete tasks on time under pressure
- Willingness to travel
- English and German language skills at minimum B2 level, required for all modules except HCM
- Strong experience and knowledge of SAP processes
- Strong hands-on configuration skills with SAP ERP and cross-functional experience
- Strong experience and knowledge of report writer and report painter
- Strong experience and knowledge of SAP Implementation ASAP Methodology
