Job Description
Senior Software Engineer building AI-augmented hyperautomation and workflow-management software at German IT provider DATAGROUP. Developing secure fullstack applications, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and test strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality software products in hyperautomation and workflow management using modern AI tools
- Take ownership of complex full-stack projects
- Analyze SRS documents, clarify open points with stakeholders, and translate business requirements into robust software architectures
- Design data models and ER diagrams
- Define RESTful and OpenAPI interfaces
- Develop security concepts based on OWASP standards, including RBAC, OAuth, and JWT
- Build high-performance, scalable applications using backend and frontend technologies
- Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies
- Ensure code quality through code reviews
- Proactively identify security vulnerabilities such as XSS, SQL injection, and CSRF
- Deploy applications to self-hosted servers
- Set up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
- Optimize monitoring dashboards
- Critically review AI-generated code, identify architectural flaws, and optimize performance
- Clearly communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and present solution options
Requirements:
- Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification, such as vocational training as an IT specialist for application development
- Several years of practical software development experience, demonstrated through a portfolio or project references
- Daily, productive use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor
- Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and database design (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Senior-level proficiency in at least one backend language: Node.js, Python, Go, C#, or Java
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular, with senior-level proficiency in at least one
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern UI/UX patterns
- In-depth understanding of the OWASP Top 10, including injection, XSS, CSRF, and broken authentication
- Practical experience with authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth, RBAC, SSO)
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Ability to deploy applications to self-hosted servers, not only to the cloud
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
