Job Description
Senior Software Engineer building scalable microservices and AI-powered conversational systems. Engineering for Grupo QuintoAndar, Latin America’s largest real estate ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and resilient microservices handling 50M+ monthly accesses and high-concurrency environments
- Participate in the architectural evolution of the platform and integrate backend systems with AI/LLM conversational capabilities and large data ecosystems
- Own the entire software development lifecycle, including definition, development, testing, production, and maintenance
- Create observability and take proactive actions on post-mortems
- Reinforce excellent software development practices and participate in code and design reviews
- Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and share knowledge across teams
- Join a unified selection process for multiple engineering teams and explore team placement at the final stage
Requirements:
- Solid experience building and evolving software architecture from the ground up for high-volume, distributed systems
- Strong understanding of database design, evolution, and complex data modeling
- Skilled in creating and maintaining RESTful APIs, with a strong grasp of system integration
- Experience with software monitoring, observability, and performance tracking tools such as Datadog and New Relic
- Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, and focus on delivering high-quality, data-driven software
- Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English
- Experience with cloud service platforms such as AWS or GCP is a distinguishing qualification
- Knowledge of containers and orchestration such as Kubernetes and Docker is a distinguishing qualification
- Understanding of event-driven architectures and message brokers such as Kafka and RabbitMQ is a distinguishing qualification
- Experience or strong interest in integrating applications with LLMs, AI agents, or heavy data pipelines is a distinguishing qualification
