Job Description
Senior Web Designer supporting FAA's communications initiatives. Leading visual communication efforts and developing high-impact branding assets.
Responsibilities:
- Provides support for developing and providing agency website content
- Provides support in the location and pursuit of content and surveying internal customers to gather feedback for site improvement and enhancements
- Designs, configures, and maintains websites for internal and external communications
- Ensures that FAA branding and Internet configuration requirements are applied to all web products
- Is proficient in the design and development of websites compliant with Section 508
- Uses advanced desktop publishing, page layout, or typesetting software to design and develop high quality textual and graphic compositions
- Generates, manipulates, and integrates graphic images, animations, sound, text, and video generated with automated tools into consolidated and seamless multimedia programs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Information Technology, Communications, Computer Science, or related field (Relevant experience may substitute for a degree)
- 20+ years of relevant experience in web design, digital communications, or graphic design
- Experience designing websites compliant with Section 508 accessibility requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in developing digital graphics, presentations, and web-based communications materials
- Experience applying enterprise branding standards and visual identity guidelines
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
