Job Description
Graphic Designer creating a 30–40-page prospectus for the New York Climate Exchange, a nonprofit accelerating climate solutions. Developing layouts and visuals that communicate its Governors Island climate campus.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Capital Project and Communications teams in designing a 30–40-page prospectus/book
- Identify, coordinate, and review photography, renderings, maps, and illustrations supporting The Exchange's narrative
- Design layouts that strengthen and clarify The Exchange's narrative
- Work with the Communications Director and editorial strategist to select and integrate visuals
- Deliver an initial layout/design concept in weeks 1–2
- Apply edits and complete the full design in weeks 3–4
- Complete final design edits and print-ready optimization in weeks 5–6
Requirements:
- Project coordination across multiple contributors
- Editorial design and layout expertise
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and broader Creative Suite
- Time management skills
- Ability to collaborate across The Exchange, partner organizations, and relevant institutions
- Recognizes the value of diverse perspectives and lived experiences and applies a critical lens to systemic sources of bias and discrimination
- Applies critical thinking and seeks input and experience from others
- Commits to a decision and acts once it has been reached
- Must be able to work in the United States
- Must be available for occasional weekday meetings in the ET time zone
- Submit a resume, portfolio showcasing relevant past projects, and a brief written project plan including a flat-rate project cost
