Job Description
Senior Workday Analysts implementing and optimizing Workday Payroll or HCM for a Texas healthcare client. Supporting configuration, testing, go-live, and production operations remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, test, implement, and optimize Workday functionality
- Translate business requirements into scalable Workday configurations and processes
- Support implementation, testing, data validation, cutover, go-live, and stabilization
- Troubleshoot complex configuration and production issues
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, IT, and business stakeholders
- Support Workday releases, enhancements, and ongoing production needs
- For Payroll: manage pay groups, calendars, earnings, deductions, payroll taxes, tax jurisdictions, payroll accounting, GL mapping, retroactive and off-cycle payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits touchpoints, parallel payroll testing, reconciliation, cutover, go-live, EIBs, and payroll-related data conversion
- For HCM: configure Core HCM, organizations, staffing, positions, job structures, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Performance, business processes, security, reporting, calculated fields, and dashboards; support testing, releases, optimization, and production
Requirements:
- 5–7+ years of relevant Workday/enterprise application experience
- Strong hands-on Workday configuration expertise in Payroll or HCM
- Workday implementation, optimization, or major system initiative experience
- Strong business analysis, troubleshooting, testing, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Deep hands-on Workday Payroll configuration and implementation experience for the Payroll profile
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll requirements for the Payroll profile
- Strong hands-on Workday HCM configuration experience for the HCM profile
- Workday certifications valued, but not required
- Healthcare, higher education, or complex enterprise experience preferred
