Job Description
Serbian language specialist challenging AI models on grammar, syntax, and pragmatics. Documenting failures and improving prompt engineering and evaluation metrics for Meridial.
Responsibilities:
- Converse with language models on Serbian language scenarios
- Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness
- Capture reproducible error traces
- Document model failure modes
- Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
- Challenge advanced language models on Serbian linguistic topics to improve model reasoning
Requirements:
- Serbian language expertise, including grammar, syntax, morphology, spelling, phonology, and pragmatics
- Ability to evaluate verb conjugation, case inflection, sentence structure, Cyrillic and Latin scripts, regional dialects, and formal/informal language use
- Clear, metacognitive communication and ability to show work
- A master’s or PhD in Serbian language, linguistics, or a closely related field is ideal
- Peer-reviewed publications, teaching experience, or hands-on linguistic analysis projects are advantageous
