Job Description
Site Quality Engineer overseeing quality management processes for Hitachi Energy's HVDC projects. Ensuring compliance with quality and contractual requirements during site execution.
Responsibilities:
- Review applicable contractual and local on-site quality requirements; review subcontractors’ quality plans to ensure alignment with the Project Quality Plans and customer requirements.
- Deliver Quality induction training to site personnel.
- Ensure full implementation and continuous monitoring of quality control processes; ensure inspections and tests during civil, mechanical and electrical installation phases and commissioning are performed, documented, verified and validated in accordance with the quality control system.
- Ensure the completion system, deviation management system, NCR (Non-Conformance Report) system, CCRP system and all Quality tools are fully deployed on site, and that users are adequately trained, with support from the Completion Manager.
- Monitor the on-site completion system, maintaining an overall view of the status of inspections, certifications and outstanding works, including the punch list.
- Provide Quality key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders when required.
- Participate in internal and supplier quality audits in accordance with the Site Quality audit program.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with Quality requirements and follow up on corrective actions when necessary.
- Support CoQP reporting processes on site in accordance with HVDC processes.
Requirements:
- Technical, engineering or quality management education.
- More than 5 years of experience in site quality, operations or on EPC projects.
- Proven experience in change management and in leading internal projects/programmes within large, complex organisations.
- Knowledge of the ISO 9001 standard.
- Excellent communication skills, results-oriented, ability to execute quickly, open-mindedness and good listening skills.
- Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Proficiency with common IT tools: Microsoft Suite, Excel, PIMS.
- Availability for long-term relocation to project sites in France or abroad.
