Job Description

Quality Assurance Engineer optimizing risk-based test strategies, creating and executing automated tests for SelectQuote's insurance offerings. Driving quality assurance processes and collaborating across teams in a remote setup.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrator for the test management systems
  • Identify and implement improvements to QA processes
  • Become a domain expert on the systems under test
  • Drive and optimize test case prioritization and automation road mapping
  • Optimize existing automation scripts and performance management
  • Increased focus on automated scripting
  • Create risk based test plans/strategies and automation designs
  • Create complex SQL statements
  • Review and provide feedback to the PM/BA teams on missing requirements dependencies and high risk issues
  • Provides trainings and assists in the onboarding process
  • Design and execute manual and automated test cases for functional regression and/or performance testing including both back-end and front-end systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5-8 years experience in a Quality Assurance or comparable work experience
  • Experience with Agile, Quality Assurance and SDLC methodologies to drive designs and process improvements
  • Experience in manual and automation test design, scripting, execution and reporting
  • Experience with testing tools such as Zephyr, Jira, Postman, Github, Selenium etc.
  • Experience with automating test scripts and framework maintenance
  • Experience in coding languages (Java, JavaScript) and SQL is preferred
